Cambodia
located between Thailand, Vietnam & Laos is a tropical, sunny
country which you can visit throughout the year :) Main religion is
Buddhism and Hinduism. Cost of living is pretty cheap including food and
accommodation but roads are dusty too :P The main cities to visit in
this country are Siem Reap & Phnom Penh. Remember to take adequate
sun block, sunglasses & a hat/umbrella !

Day 1 - Arrive in Phnom Penh
Depending on the time you arrive, you could check in to the hotel and then do a small city tour. Rikshaws and Tuk Tuks on the road can rip you sometimes, so install an app like ''Passapp" on your smart phone to book vehicles at a lower cost. Visit the most important highlight of the city - The Royal Palace. Entrance fee is approximately $10 per person and don't forget to visit before 5PM as it closes at that time.

After
doing a small city tour, take the Night Bus to Siem Reap. There are few
bus operators such as Ibis who does the night bus. The night bus only
has beds and you can sleep until the bus reaches Siem Reap. The bus
leaves at around 11PM and arrives in Siem Reap at around 6AM. This way
you can save time on traveling although you might be a bit tired in the
morning ;)
Day 2 - Siem Reap
Check in to the hotel in the morning (assuming they give you an early check-in). We stayed in a new hotel called Hari Residence & Spa and I highly recommend you to stay with them as they gave an early check-in free of charge and the rooms were really comfortable and worthwhile for the price you pay. During the day, you could visit the Siem Reap Old market, Night Market & the temples in the city. Remember to bargain at these markets and to check the quality of the items before you purchase! All of these places are closer to each other, so you can literally walk from one place to another. Don't forget to visit the "Pub Street" at night as its the happening place with live music, street food, bars, clubs etc! Ah, make sure to taste the Fried Ice Cream Rolls too!

Day 3 - Angkor Wat
This
is the main highlight of the Cambodia Tour. Angkor Wat is the largest
temple complex in the world on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. You can
speak to the hotel and arrange a tuk tuk to give you transport. They
will charge approximately $15 for the tour. Entrance fees to the Angkor
complex is $37 per person. Make sure to visit other temples such as
Bayon, Ta Prohm etc. Its an excellent place to take photos as well! If
possible, try to be there for the sunrise to capture some nice shots.

Day 4 - Kulen National Park day tour
On
the 4th day, we visited the Kulen National Park which is approximately
60kms away from Siem Reap. You would enjoy this tour if you are a nature
lover. The tour can be arranged by talking to the hotel or talking to
various operators you find near the Siem Reap market. Cost would be
around $35 per person. The tour includes visiting the 1000 lingas
(shiva), visit to the beautiful Kulen Waterfall from which you can have a
nice bath, and few temples. We left the hotel at around 8.30am and
returned at like 5pm. We got a late check out free of charge from Hari
Residence & Spa and at around 11pm and took the night bus to go to
Phnom Penh.

Day 5 - Phnom Penh
We arrived in Phnom Penh early in the morning (at around 5am) and went to the hotel. As the hotel didnt allow us an early check-in even at a cost (Tea House Asian Urban Hotel), we decided to visit the Killing Fields ( Choeung Ek Genocidal Center) which is one of the main attractions in Phnom Penh. Killing fields shows evidence of the cruelty of the Pol Pot regime and how over a million people were killed :( After that, we visited the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum which also gives you a history lesson of Cambodia. After an informative session, we went to the Aeon Mall to do some shopping. Aeon Mall is the biggest shopping complex in Phnom Penh and you find all branded, quality goods and a variety of food outlets. No bargaining in this mall :P You can negotiate with a rikshaw driver for around $18 to do the entire tour.

Day 6 - Leave Cambodia
This was our last day of the tour and we had a flight to catch at 11:10am. Hence, we had a good breakfast and left Cambodia with happy memories :)
