DUBAI - 5 NIGHTS 6 DAYS

Dubai, the most popular emirate in the United Arab Emirates is a reflection of massive economic growth and technology developments. The skyline of Dubai can be easily considered as the tallest and most magnificent. The city boasts of the worlds tallest building - the Burj Khalifa and man made islands such as the Palm Islands. Gasoline is cheaper than water, people are rich so luxury sports cars can be spotted everywhere! Best months to visit Dubai is between November - March as its too hot during other months.

Day 01 - Desert Safari

We arrived in Dubai early in the morning and checked in to the hotel. We stayed in this hotel called Al Manar Hotel Apartments which was pretty decent for the price we paid although it was a bit away from the city. We relaxed in the hotel and then set off for a Desert Safari in the afternoon. Desert Safari is a famous activity in Dubai and it is a must do. You get in to a luxury SUV such as a Prado/ Land Cruiser and they take you in the desert at high speeds to a camp where you get buffet dinner whilst enjoying live belly dancing shows, fire fighting shows etc. Camel rides are available as well. Make sure to book a good desert safari as some camps are of poor quality and the crowds can be annoying.

Dubai Marina

Day 02 - City Tour

We woke up in the morning and had a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. We booked the two day pass in the hop on - hop off big bus tour so left to catch the bus. If you are in Dubai for a short period of time, this would be the best way to cover the highlights of the city. The bus takes you around Dubai including the Palm Islands and stops in main locations so you can hop off and enjoy the location and hop in back to visit the next location at your own pace. We first did a full round without hopping off the bus and then stopped at a few places such as the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Museum and the Dubai Mall. The Dubai museum gives you an in-depth understanding on how a desert was converted to a modern city from scratch. Visiting Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building on earth is a must do if you happen to visit Dubai, but make sure you book your tickets before hand as there is a long waiting list :D

Day 03 - City Tour

On the 3rd day, we again went in the Hop on - Hop off big bus and covered the city. This time, we stopped at the Old city, Dubai Creek, the Palm Islands and Dubai Marina. The Dhow cruise in Dubai Marina & Old city is a must do as it allows you to get a beautiful view of Dubai and capture some nice shots. The Palm Islands are the man made islands which has a shape of a palm tree. This area is the home to the rich and wealthy of Dubai, hence looks posher compared to the main island of Dubai. Also, make sure to visit the Atlantis the Palm hotel in the Palm Islands as it is a super luxury hotel with all types of entertainment facilities. It has underwater rooms as well!

Sheikh Zayed Road

Day 04 - Sky Diving

4th day was the most exciting day for me.. it was one of those days where I had bet my entire life on something.. you guessed it right, I was going to try Sky Diving! I woke up early in the morning and took the metro to the SkyDive - Dubai location. I had booked my slot at 10.30am. I was introduced to my instructor, got my briefing and got in to the plane at around 11am. It was a small plane (like the ones you see in Military movies) and there were around 5 of us who wanted to jump off the plane. The plane took off and up it went till 15,000 feet. My instructor opened the door and then we felt the strong gush of winds rushing into the plane. We held on to our seats and slowly crawled towards the door to jump. My number was 2 and number 1 was in front of me praying that he shouldn't die :D The instructor pushed him out of the plane, and then it was my turn. I jumped out, and I was in shock for a few seconds until I recollected myself and took some time to start breathing. It was the best feeling ever! I was free falling and I could see the beautiful Palm Islands below me, and from the other side I could see Burj Khalifa standing tall above the clouds :) The dive took around 5 minutes and then I pulled the parachute. Luckily, it worked and I came down safely :D
In the evening, we went to see the Dubai Fountain which is near the Dubai Mall. Dubai Fountain has some beautiful light and water shows at night and its free of charge as well ;)

Experiencing Formula Rossa

Day 05 - Abu Dhabi

On the 5th day, we decided to do a city tour to Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is like the neighbour of Dubai and it is famous for Ferrari World - the theme park and Sheikh Zayed Mosque. We hired a cab and went to see the mosque first. Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the largest mosque in the UAE and its architecture is amazing. Many tourists/ muslims visit this place on a daily basis to pray and witness its beauty. Afterwards, we went to Ferrari World. Ferrari World is famous for one thing - the fastest roller coaster in the world (Formula Rossa) which goes at a speed of 240 KMPH! We bought the tickets and got in to the Roller coaster. Within 2 seconds it went from 0 - 100 KMPH. We were shocked! It literally makes you pee in your pants :D After enjoying another few rides at Ferrari World, we headed back to Dubai.

Day 06 - Masalamah Dubai

Our flight was in the evening, so we went to the Dubai Mall, did some shopping and relaxed until we left to the airport. It was the end of the trip and we parted farewell to Dubai and carried some lifetime memories and experiences with us!
